Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I love to travel. If your wedding is outside of the Southern Lakes or Central Otago region we can talk about travel costs and accommodation. I try to keep these costs to the minimum. I’ve shot international weddings from Scotland to Bali.
Will we meet up before the wedding?
For sure. I’m happy to meet up with potential couples to see if we are a good fit. Once you’ve booked, we can meet up once in the months before the wedding and once in the week directly before the wedding to go over all the details and schedule of your wedding day.
What do you photograph during the day and what’s your style?
I photograph in a documentary style. This means I will show up and start shooting the day as it naturally happens with minimal direction. When I shoot the two of you together I give a small amount direction that encourages you to be yourselves and enjoy the time together on your big day. The idea is to try to forget about me and enjoy the time together.
My editing style is influenced by film and is light and clean and follows the mood and atmosphere of the day. Please check out my wedding stories and wedding portfolio to make sure you connect with my style.
Do you photograph small weddings and Elopements?
Yes! I love shooting small weddings and Elopements. I also love shooting engagement photos or couples portraits. Please contact me for pricing and options.
Do you have custom packages?
I can make a custom package to suit your day. Please head over to my contact page to get in touch and i’ll send you a full price list.
Do you take family photos?
Yes, for sure. Usually I shoot the family photos shortly after the ceremony. It’s great if you can have a family member or the MC there to organise the groups so I can concentrate on taking photos.
How will we see our photographs?
If you have booked me for my 9-hour package or above your photos are delivered in custom packaging on a wooden USB drive with preview print images as shown below. I will also build you an online story of your day that can be made private or public for you to view and share.
If you book for my 5-hour package your images are delivered digitally.
How long will it be before we receive our photos?
You will receive all of your images anywhere between 3 and 8 weeks after the wedding depending on the time of year.
Do you make wedding albums?
I can design and build you a beautiful, custom, high-quality wedding book or if you book me for my 12-hour package there is a 50-page book included. For more information click here.
I know there are many great options for wedding albums or books so if my option doesn’t fit your budget you are welcome to have your own made.
Will you use my photos on social media?
I sometimes post photos on Instagram or Facebook. If you don’t want me to post any of your photos just let me know.
Can we have the digital negatives or “RAW” files
The editing process is a big part of my photography and personal style so I don’t usually provide couples with the raw files.
Do you shoot film?
Yes! I love shooting with film. To me it has a very honest and lifelike feel. If you are interested in me shooting your wedding on film or a mixture of digital and film, let me know. I can talk with you about options.
Do you need a deposit to book our wedding?
I ask for a non-refundable $800.00 deposit booking fee to secure my photography services for the day. With reasonable notice, you can move your booking to a day I’m free at no additional charge or loss of deposit.
